Measurement Specialist II
Position Overview
This role is responsible for ensuring product quality through precise inspection, documentation, and collaboration across manufacturing and engineering teams. The ideal candidate brings technical expertise, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement in aerospace manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
Perform dimensional and visual inspections using precision tools and equipment (FARO Arm, optical comparators, CMM software).
Read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and procedures to assess product compliance.
Record and report results, non-conformances, and corrective actions; communicate findings promptly.
Support continuous improvement initiatives related to quality, safety, and manufacturing efficiency.
Conduct receiving and final inspections, maintaining accurate documentation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective measures.
Manage multiple tasks effectively with consistent reliability and attention to detail.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required; technical or quality-related degree preferred.
2–5 years of experience in aerospace quality inspection or precision manufacturing.
Proficiency with measurement equipment and software (FARO Arm, CMM, CAD tools).
Strong understanding of GD&T, aerospace tolerances, and applicable standards (AS9100, NADCAP, FAA).
Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Comfortable with Microsoft Office, CAD programs (Creo preferred), and ERP/MES systems.
