Platform Engineer – Identity Governance (SailPoint ISC)
Platform Engineer – Identity Governance (SailPoint ISC)
Location: India (Remote)
Type: Full-time
We are seeking a hands-on Platform Engineer to expand and mature our identity governance capabilities in SailPoint Identity Security Cloud (ISC). This role will improve IAM hygiene and evolve applications already onboarded to SailPoint from basic identity provisioning to scalable, role-based access controls, access certifications, automated request workflows, and auditable governance.
What You’ll Do
Enhance SailPoint ISC integrations and lifecycle workflows for applications already in scope.
Progress applications from basic provisioning to role-based access control (RBAC), access profiles, birthright access, and periodic access certifications.
Improve identity and entitlement data quality, including ownership, naming, lifecycle status, and orphaned access remediation.
Streamline access-request experiences and approval workflows across ServiceNow and SailPoint ISC.
Enable and operationalize just-in-time (JIT) and time-bound access patterns where appropriate.
Establish governance standards and controls for sanctioned non-human identities (service accounts, application accounts, API identities) and emerging AI-agent identities.
Partner with application teams, Identity Operations, Cloud Engineering, and Security Governance to define access models and implement practical controls.
Build and maintain automation, documentation, monitoring, and evidence needed for reliable operations and audits.
Troubleshoot integration, provisioning, and access-governance issues and drive them to resolution.
What You Bring
Experience administering, configuring, or engineering identity solutions, preferably SailPoint ISC / IdentityNow.
Hands-on experience with identity lifecycle management, provisioning, access requests, RBAC, certifications, and entitlement governance.
Familiarity with SailPoint integrations/connectors, APIs, workflows, transforms, and automation.
Experience integrating IAM processes with ServiceNow.
Working knowledge of cloud identity, privileged access, service accounts, API credentials, and non-human identity governance.
Strong understanding of IAM fundamentals, including least privilege, segregation of duties, joiner-mover-leaver processes, and audit controls.
Ability to work independently in a remote, cross-functional environment and translate governance requirements into practical technical solutions.
Strong written communication and documentation skills.
Preferred
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Familiarity with scripting and automation using Python, PowerShell, JavaScript, REST APIs, or CI/CD tooling.
Experience supporting compliance, audit evidence, access reviews, or security-control assessments.
Exposure to JIT access, privileged access management, and AI-agent or workload identity governance.
